Job summary

RNA Facilities Management is seeking a Floor Tech to maintain floor surfaces across facilities and uphold high standards of cleanliness. You will operate floor machines, strip, wax, buff, and extract carpets, preserve safe working conditions, and support hazardous waste collection as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, proven floor maintenance experience, and knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment. E-Verify is required for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.
• Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
• Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
• Operating floor equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
• Using floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, and floor strippers.
• Inspecting floors for damage and carrying out minor repairs.
• Measuring chemicals correctly and operating dispensing units.
• Labeling chemicals correctly and maintaining PPE.
• Keeping equipment and PPE clean, stored, and inventory tracked.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor and assisting with hazardous waste collection.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for an energetic floor tech to keep our facilities’ floors clean. You will be responsible for maintaining all floor areas and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will be responsible for dust ing, wet mop ping , stripping , waxing, buffing floors, remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and carpet extraction cleaning, dispose of trash, and assist with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

Floor Tech Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, hallways,common areas, and other areas.

• Labeling chemicals correctly.
• Cleaning,maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
• Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor .
• Assistingwith the hazardous waste collection as requested byyoursupervisor.
• Other responsibilities asassignedbyyoursupervisor.

Floor Tech Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
• Proven floor maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Excellent communication skills.
