Job summary

Yona is looking for a Floor Care Technician to join the team. You will maintain hard and soft floor surfaces for residents and visitors, use stripping, refinishing, burnishing, shampooing, and extraction methods, and operate floor care equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Prior floor care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working varying shifts.
• Able to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper stripping, refinishing and burnishing procedures.
• Operates floor care equipment for large areas.
• Performs carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Executes floor care maintenance and restoration for all surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Follows safety protocols when handling cleaning solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing

• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface

• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc

• Operates floor care equipment as assigned

• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types

• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use

• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.

• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred

• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required

• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night

• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
