Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join the team. You will maintain hard floor surfaces, perform carpet care, and operate floor care equipment to keep resident areas clean and safe.

Applicants should have prior floor care experience, knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques, and the ability to follow safety procedures. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and availability for varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work varying times and be punctual.
• Ability to perform duties without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper stripping, refinishing and burnishing procedures.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Cleans carpets including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Adheres to safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing

• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface

• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc

• Operates floor care equipment as assigned

• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types

• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use

• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.

• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required

• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night

• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
