Job summary

Yona Eagle is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team in Wall, SD. You will be responsible for hard floor maintenance, carpet care, and operating floor cleaning equipment to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and precautions.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work at varying times of day/night.
• Must be able to perform responsibilities without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of floor maintenance principles and uses proper procedures for hard floor care (stripping, refinishing, burnishing).
• Operates floor care equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet care (shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Maintains and operates floor care equipment; follows safety precautions.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after use.
• Assists with safe mixing of cleaning solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing

• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface

• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc

• Operates floor care equipment as assigned

• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types

• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use

• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.

• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred

• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required

• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs

• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night

• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
