Job summary

GOODWILL SOUTH FLORIDA TEP LLC in Miami, FL is seeking a custodial worker to maintain a clean, sanitary facility. You will perform floor care, carpet cleaning, and operate cleaning equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • Three months of cleaning experience.
  • Must be capable of communicating any problems to the immediate supervisor.
  • Must have prior related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job description

Summary:Maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Employ proper techniques for floor care and area preparation, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, and waxing, as well as carpet cleaning.Must be able to operate and maintain all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, including but not limited to floor buffers, burnishers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.Follow all safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility.Prepare all setups with tables, chairs, and tablecloths.Ability to handle emergencies, including liquid spills, slips, and exposure to body fluids.Perform custodial duties when required.All other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Three months of cleaning experience. Must be capable of communicating any problems to the immediate supervisor. Must have prior related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift more than 35 lbs. Must be able to push heavy equipment, including cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, floor stripping equipment, trash cans, and water buckets. Must be capable of communicating any problem to the immediate supervisor.Work Environment: The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
