Job summary

Responsibilities include operating floor cleaning equipment, following safety protocols, handling emergencies, and performing custodial duties. This position requires at least three months of cleaning experience and reliable communication with supervision.

Qualifications

• Three months of cleaning experience.
• Must be capable of communicating any problems to the immediate supervisor.
• Must have prior related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift more than 35 lbs. Must be able to push heavy equipment, including cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, floor stripping equipment, trash cans, and water buckets. Must be capable of communicating any problem to the immediate supervisor.

Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
