Job summary

Consor seeks a Flood Control Construction Manager to lead heavy civil flood control projects, including earthwork, rip rap, detention ponds, and drainage facilities, in the Houston area. You will oversee contractor operations, ensure safety, quality, schedule, and compliance with plans.

As Engineer of Record or Owner's Representative, provide technical guidance, review submittals, monitor budgets, and coordinate with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed PE in Texas.
• 8+ years of progressive heavy civil/TxDOT-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee flood control construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Direct and coordinate contractor activities to ensure compliance with plans and permits.
• Serve as primary field representative for engineering decisions.
• Monitor schedule, budget, quality, and safety; mitigate risks.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay apps.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to verify conformance with design documents.
• Prepare status reports for management and client review.
