Job summary
Salt Lake County is seeking a Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources, hydraulics, and flood control to design and oversee engineering projects. The role involves flood studies, construction management, and coordination with multiple County divisions and external consultants.
Candidates should possess a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree, with PE licensure or ability to obtain in Utah within 6 months, and CFM certification or plan to obtain within a year.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering required.
- PE licensure or ability to obtain in Utah within 6 months.
- CFM or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering plans using CAD software.
- Prepare flood studies for County ordinance facilities.
- Act as Construction Manager for flood control projects.
- Coordinate with County divisions, consultants, and public agencies.
- Assist in developing budgets and five/ten-year master plans.
- Review engineering work and provide technical guidance.
