Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of general cash handling, sales & customer service experience.
• 1 year of previous banking experience strongly encouraged.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose and resolve situations.
• Ability to work hours including Saturdays (based on market and location). Travel may be required.
• Strong knowledge of daily branch, vault, and ATM operations.

Responsibilities

• promptly and accurately handle lobby, drive-thru, night deposit, or bank-by-mail customer transactions according to Home Bank policies.
• cash handling, including counting, verifying, packaging coins and currency, daily cash drawer balancing, ATM balancing and replenishment.
• assist with daily Vault duties as needed and may operate as vault custodian.
• process daily teller work ensuring debits and credits balance per policies.
• provide comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer service in all transactions.
• engage in conversations with customers to build relationships and determine financial needs and make recommendations.
• contribute to banking center success by achieving branch and line of business referral goals.
• maintain knowledge of deposit and lending products and services and use systems to open deposit accounts, perform maintenance, and enroll customers in services.
• clear and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication; follow instructions and speak clearly.
• be self-directed with ability to work independently or in a team with little supervision.
• mentor newly hired/promoted team members in support of Home Bank values.
• use good judgment, stay aware of potential fraud, and protect confidential information.
• maintain a neat workstation and ensure supplies are on hand and organized.
• perform other duties as required by leadership.
