Securitas USA in Topeka, KS seeks a Floating Security Officer for full-time duty at multiple client sites. You will monitor premises, perform access control, patrol varied locations, and enforce site rules to maintain safety and order.

The role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and the ability to respond calmly in emergencies. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance within the security team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Floating Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Topeka, KS

Wage Range: $14.00-$21.00/HR

The Floating Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
