Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring a Floating Security Officer to support multiple client sites in Topeka and Lawrence, KS. You will perform access control, patrol rounds, report safety issues, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires legal age, a high school diploma or GED, solid computer skills, and the ability to work independently. Pre-employment screening and background checks apply; competitive hourly pay and benefit options are

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Floating Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Locations: Topeka & Lawrence, KS

Wage Range: $14.50-$21.00/HR

The Floating Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Basic Requirements

• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be able to work in both Topeka, KS, and Lawrence, KS.
