Securitas, Inc. in Topeka, KS is looking for a Floating Security Officer - Full Time to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients. The role covers access control, patrolling diverse sites, and enforcing site regulations.

You will respond to emergencies, report hazards, and provide courteous customer service to employees and guests, while using security technology and completing post orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Floating Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Topeka, KS

Wage Range: $14.00-$21.00/HR

TheFloating Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
