Job summary

Mercy Home Health seeks a Flex Respiratory Care Practitioner to float across assigned Ohio sites, delivering comprehensive respiratory care. You will assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient care, using established respiratory therapy standards.

Requirements include current state license, NBRC credential, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. RRT and CPFT are preferred; an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care is required with 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working (required)
• NBRC credentialed (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required)
• NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program (required)
• RRT (preferred)
• CPFT (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple sites within the health system and provide respiratory care
• Assist physicians during procedures and invasive monitoring as needed
• Perform CPR and airway management per ACLS protocols
• Conduct therapeutic procedures to maintain airway and monitor patient response
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway devices
• Perform PFTs and interpret ABG values
• Assess patient status and document findings and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapy and home care requirements
• Procure sputum for culture as directed and manage therapy administration
