Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under general supervision. The clinician will evaluate cardiopulmonary function and treat impairments, caring for neonate through geriatric patients with professional judgment.

Collaboration with physicians and staff is essential. Eligible candidates must be NBRC registered or eligible within six months, obtain RRT within 90 days, hold an active Ohio license, and maintain BLS (NRP for NICU).

Qualifications

• Must be NBRC registered or eligible within six months of graduation.
• RRT certification within 90 days of graduation or hire date.
• Active Ohio license to practice Respiratory Care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; NRP for NICU.
• Strong understanding of drugs used in respiratory care procedures.
• Excellent communication with patients, physicians and staff.
• Clinical experience in ICU, emergency or specialty areas preferred.
• Meet Clinical Ladder Policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under supervision.
• Evaluates cardiopulmonary function and treats impairments.
• Cares for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Uses professional judgment in patient care and treatment effectiveness.
