Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our Gastonia, NC team. You will gain wide experience across clinics, performing blood collections and handling specimens while delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities include data entry, billing support, and travel to additional sites. You will work with diverse teams, maintaining accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
