Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Float Phlebotomist for the Mesquite, TX area. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, data entry, and specimen handling with a focus on accuracy and patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
• 1+ year experience with diverse patient ages.
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites within Mesquite, TX and surrounding area.
