Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Columbus, GA. The role covers multiple Labcorp sites across Columbus, LaGrange, Americus (GA) and Auburn (AL).

Schedule is Monday–Friday with hours varying 6:00am–7:00pm and rotating Saturdays; travel between sites is required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and 3+ years as a phlebotomist plus 2+ years clinical or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• 2+ years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
