Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Linthicum, MD and surrounding areas. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–7:00pm with every other Saturday as assigned, providing a broad exposure to clinical settings.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, ensure proper specimen handling, and maintain accurate patient data. Travel to additional sites and a strong emphasis on customer service are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
