Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED required; active phlebotomy certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients, using appropriate technique.
• Verify physician orders and match to requisitions.
• Document maintenance data and update patient information.
• Attend annual department trainings and adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations.
