Job summary

Publix Pharmacy in Florida seeks a Floating Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations, provide patient-centered care, and oversee daily tasks across locations. The role emphasizes immunizations, MTM, and clinical services while maintaining high standards for customer service and staff development.

You will mentor teams, drive pharmacist-led initiatives, and ensure efficient prescription processing, while adapting to a flexible schedule to meet patient and business needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted, state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Act as pharmacist-on-duty, guiding the team and ensuring patient care.
• Set priorities to maximize contribution, execute daily tasks, support the team and build rapport with customers and associates.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients, counsel individuals, promote loyalty and offer pharmacist-led clinical services.
• Mentor others on Publix pharmacy best practices to maximize sales, minimize shrink, and meet customers’ needs using programs like auto refill and Sync Your Refills.
• Advance immunizations and MTM initiatives and maintain flexible work week schedules to meet customer needs.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.
