Job summary

Publix Pharmacy is seeking a Floating Pharmacist to ensure continuity of service across multiple locations. You will lead pharmacy operations, provide patient counseling, MTM and immunizations, and mentor staff to uphold Publix standards.

The role emphasizes flexibility with a patient-centric approach, strong leadership, and a proactive stance on clinical initiatives and customer care across assigned pharmacies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted, state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedication to each pharmacy's success, by executing strategy and motivating staff as the pharmacist-on-duty.
• Set priorities to maximize contribution, executing daily tasks and supporting the team and customers.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service through counseling, MTM, immunizations, and promoting customer loyalty.
• Inspire teams to act with accountability and embrace new pharmacy initiatives.
• Manage performance to meet prescription timelines in absence of the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Be an expert on the pharmacy technology system for routine and complex processing.
• Mentor others on Publix pharmacy best practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
• Support MTM and immunizations initiatives and flexible scheduling.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.
