Job summary

Kph-Healthcare-Services in Cortland, NY, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to lead dispensing, QA, and regulatory compliance within a high-service pharmacy setting.

You will oversee inventory, third-party claims, staff training, and customer relations, ensuring optimal use of technology and adherence to all state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
• Certified Immunizer.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and counsel patients following Kinney Standard of Practice.
• Perform quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
• Report dispensing incidents promptly, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Oversee the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims.
• Manage and balance the pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while meeting customer needs.
• Oversee transmitting, processing and receiving orders to and from Kinney Warehouse and suppliers.
• Check pharmacy inventory for outdates and process returns.
• Ensure prescription files and records are maintained per state and federal guidelines.
• Maximize ROI from pharmacy technology and lifecycle.
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
• Ensure loss prevention policies are followed and report deviations.
• Assist in corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotions.
• Maintain a clean, professional pharmacy environment.
• Develop professional relationships with doctors and health care professionals.
• Stay aware of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services and integrate them.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Facilitate communication between staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assist in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines.
• Assist in training and development of pharmacy personnel (Kinney Clerk and Technician).
• Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
