Job summary

Select Medical in Louisville, KY is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. This FLOAT role requires traveling between teams and centers in the greater Louisville area, assisting patients and supporting the business side of the center.

You will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with offices and payers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year front desk experience.
• Insurance verification experience.
• 1 year medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
