Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ seeks a Patient Care Assistant to provide routine care and nursing support on the night shift. You may float across several facility teams, caring for diverse patient populations and contributing to the patient plan of care.

Responsibilities include data collection, vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities; you’ll document in the EMR, communicate changes to licensed staff, and support unit operations with strong customer service.

Qualificações

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred, in hospital or physician office.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy/keyboarding.

Responsabilidades

• Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the care plan.
• Collects patient data including vitals and input/output; documents in records.
• Reports changes in patient status to licensed professionals and communicates care status.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by licensed staff.
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintains patient records and supplies; ensures forms are filed.
• Maintains supplies and assists in ordering; tracks equipment usage.
• May assist with transporting patients, including pre/post-operative to appropriate units.
• Works under supervision in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service focus.
