Job summary

MTS, headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to cover North America. You will install, calibrate, and repair complex servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical test systems at customer sites, with frequent travel and strong collaboration with customer teams.

Eligible candidates bring 5–10+ years related experience or an early-career path with hands-on skills. Training and mentorship are provided, and a relocation-friendly, travel-heavy schedule awaits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field service experience with technical aptitude
• Willingness to travel across North America
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical test systems
• Diagnose issues across controllers, hydraulics, data acquisition, sensors, transducers, fixtures and grips
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-system issues using hands-on methods
• Perform calibrations independently for assigned customer systems
• Manage service documentation, assets, and customer communication
• Collaborate with customer engineering and lab teams in a service-oriented environment
• Maintain training and compliance with quality and safety standards
