Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Floating Bank Teller for a contract position with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves delivering full banking services, handling cash, and supporting members with account products and applications.

Work is fully onsite in Chesapeake, with a schedule of 8:00am–6:00pm on weekdays and some Saturdays. Pay is around $21.42 per hour, with standard benefits eligibility for a temporary role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-3 years cash handling in in-person customer service, retail, and banking.
• Bank Teller experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.

• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
• Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration
• Perform platform banking functions

Branch Location: 3929 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23452, United States (Located in Holland Windsor Shopping Center)

Job Description:

• To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by the client including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards.

• To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.

• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans

• Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications

• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services

  Experience:

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry

• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.

• High School Diploma is required.

  Schedule:

• Full-time/ 40 hours per week

• MUST be available between Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am-2:30pm

• Could be expected to work 2-3 Saturdays a month depending on business need

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.42 - $21.42/hr.
