Job summary

Flik Hospitality Group in Newark, New Jersey seeks a Floating Assistant General Manager to support the Local General Manager across multiple airport lounges (SFO, DEN, EWR, ORD) and to uphold the approved budget while meeting client expectations.

You will lead a team, supervise hiring and training, manage food costs, inventory, and HACCP compliance, and collaborate with departments to integrate dining services with the facility plan. Travel up to 100% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Five to seven years upscale food service experience including multi-unit management.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong catering experience required.
• ServSafe or DH certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and managers according to policies and laws.
• Hire, train and coach staff; lead meetings and training.
• Maintain food cost and quality standards; manage purchasing and inventory.
• Ensure HACCP controls and proper storage of food.
• Support airport accounts (SFO, DEN, EWR, ORD) and coordinate with operations.
