Job summary

Brains & Motion Education in Santa Monica seeks a part-time Floater Instructor to support after-school enrichment across multiple schools. This role focuses on STEAM, Digital Arts and Music, delivering high-quality education and mentorship when regular instructors are unavailable.

You will lead activities, adapt to different groups from kindergarten to 8th grade, and assist with inventory and program operations when not teaching.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in STEAM, Digital Arts and Music.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience (Preferred).
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Flexibility to travel between program locations; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire students in a variety of STEM-related activities Digital Arts and Music, expanding their imaginations and skill sets.
• Teach the fundamentals of various activities, from basic to advanced levels, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment, instilling valuable lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Implement BAM! STEAM, Digital Arts and Music Programsand more.
• Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
• Assist with program inventory, preparation, and other assigned tasks when not actively teaching.
