Job summary

Brains and Motion Education offers after-school enrichment in STEM, arts, and sports across local schools and communities. As a floater instructor, you’ll lead STEAM and sports activities, guiding students from kindergarten through 8th grade while promoting hands-on learning and personal growth.

You’ll teach coding (Python & Scratch), robotics, digital arts, game design, creative writing, and a variety of sports, with scheduling Tue–Fri afternoons.

Qualifications

• At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the ESSA requirements.
• 1–2 years of experience in STEAM, Arts, or Sports, with a passion for working with youth.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Flexibility to travel between program locations; valid driver’s license or State ID and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 20–50 lbs. occasionally.
• Availability: MTThF - 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Wed - 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm

• Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
• Assist with inventory, preparation and other tasks when not teaching.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in STEAM, Arts, or Sports, with a passion for working with youth.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience (Preferred).
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Flexibility to travel between program locations; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
• Availability: MTThF - 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Wed - 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm
