Brains & Motion Education in Bellflower, CA is seeking a Floater Instructor to support after-school enrichment in creative arts and financial literacy for grades K-6. You will fill in for scheduled instructors, teach across multiple schools, and help with inventory and operations when not teaching.

The role emphasizes STEAM, arts, or sports, with 1–2 years of youth-focused experience. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 2:45pm–5:00pm PDT, 2 hours daily, part-time, at $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in STEAM, Arts, or Sports with a passion for working with youth.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Willingness to travel between program locations; valid driver’s license or State ID required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift and carry 20–50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school enrichment classes focused on creative arts and financial literacy for grades K–6.
• Teach budgeting, saving, entrepreneurship, goal setting, money management, and financial decision-making through interactive activities.
• Guide students through hands-on creative projects using various artistic mediums.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and encourage participation and success.
• Follow BAM! curriculum and adapt instruction to diverse learning styles.
• Assist with program inventory and other tasks when not actively teaching.
• Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
