Job summary

Brains and Motion Education is seeking a Floater Instructor for after-school STEM/ARTS programs in Sacramento, CA. This part-time role runs 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with travel between nearby program sites as needed.

You will cover instructor absences, lead STEM activities (Coding, Robotics, Digital Arts), and support operations across Natomas and SCUSD sites, collaborating with students from K to 8th grade.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in STEM, with a passion for working with youth.
• Previous teaching or coaching experience (Preferred).
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Flexibility to travel between program locations; valid driver's license or State ID required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

• Deliver BAM! STEAM/Sports programs, including subjects like Coding (Python & Scratch), Robotics, Digital Arts, Game Design.
• Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
• Assist with program inventory, preparation, and other assigned tasks when not actively teaching.
