Job summary

Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is hiring part-time instructors in Inglewood, CA for after-school enrichment programs. You will lead STEAM and sports activities, guiding students through engaging lessons and projects while promoting curiosity and a growth mindset.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of youth-teaching experience, strong classroom management, and a valid driver’s license for on-site school assignments. Training and background checks are required to join our dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience teaching or mentoring youth in STEM, arts, or sports.
• Genuine enthusiasm for teaching; coaching/teaching experience is encouraged.
• Excellent class management and ability to work with K–8 students.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID.
• Ability to pass a background check and willingness to undergo training.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20–50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire students in STEAM and/or sports activities.
• Teach fundamentals from basic to advanced levels, ensuring progress at each child’s own pace.
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Implement BAM! programs including Python & Scratch Coding, Robotics, LEGO Robotics, and more.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and inspire students in a variety of STEAM and/or Sports-related activities, expanding their imaginations and skill sets.
• Teach the fundamentals of various activities, from basic to advanced levels, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment, instilling valuable lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Implement BAM! STEAM/Sports Programs, including Python & Scratch Coding, Robotics, LEGO Robotics, Math, Literacy, Creative Writing, Digital Arts, Game Design, Creative Arts, Music, Animation, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Street Hockey, Flag Football, Cheerleading, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–2 years of experience teaching or mentoring youth in STEM (including Robotics, Game Design, and Engineering), Chess, Arts, or Sports subject areas.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is highly encouraged).
• Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Wage: $32/hour

Job Type: Part-Time

Availability: Tuesdays (2:45 pm - 5:30 pm), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (3:00 pm - 5:45 pm)

Start Date: 25th of August 2026
