Job summary

Brains and Motion Education is seeking a part-time Floater Sports Coach to deliver after-school enrichment in North Highlands, CA. You will lead structured recess and sports activities, teaching fundamentals from beginner to advanced and ensuring safe, engaging progress for students from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Candidates should have an associate degree or be willing to take a paraprofessional exam, be 18+, have 1–2 years of coaching experience, be able to travel between locations, pass

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or willing to take paraprofessional exam.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1–2 years of coaching or sports education experience.
• Experience in Cheer, Flag Football, or Track & Field is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and lift 20–50 lbs.

Job Description:

• Lead structured recess and Sports activities, guiding students to explore, create, and grow their skills.
• Teach the fundamentals of sports, from beginner to advanced, ensuring each student can progress at their own pace.
• Foster a collaborative, positive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Deliver BAM! Sports programs, including Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Flag Football, and more.
• Serve as a substitute instructor at different program locations as needed.
• Assist with program inventory, preparation, and other assigned tasks when not actively teaching.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or willingness to take a Paraprofessional exam with the School District.
• Must be 18 or older
• Must have 1-2 years' experience in coaching and/or Sports education
• Experience and knowledge of Cheer, Flag Football, or Track & Field.
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to connect with students from kindergarten to 8th grade.
• Flexibility to travel between program locations; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or State ID required.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Details:

• Wage: 23$-25$ /hour
• Job Type: Part time / Seasonal
• Availability: Tues to Friday 2-6pm
