Job summary

Amcor LLC in Henderson, NV is seeking a Floater/Line Inspector to support production operations. You will monitor schedules, assist in transfer of materials, and ensure paperwork accuracy while coordinating with Group Leaders and line inspectors.

Responsibilities include aiding in training, maintaining organized production areas, and performing assigned duties to keep the line running smoothly across shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experienced Line Inspector.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the online schedule for scheduled jobs.
  • Floaters assist the Pallet Mover in product and supply transfers.
  • Run all travelers and labels for their shift.
  • Assist Line Inspectors with special instructions (packaging, labels).
  • Monitor schedules for special instructions (packaging, labels).
  • Coordinate breaks and production floor operations with Group Leaders.
  • Assist in training for new personnel.
  • Facilitate mold personnel and assist in duties to keep mold production running.
  • Keep production supplies neatly stacked (pallets, liners, bags, tape).
  • Review daily production paperwork for completion; return to responsible personnel if incomplete.

Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesAll personnel must understand and practice Life Saving Behaviors and Safety policies. That pertains to the responsibilities of the position.Understands and follows the company requirements for SQF standards.Responsible to monitor the online schedule for scheduled jobs.Floaters are responsible for assisting the Pallet Mover person in product and supply in and out transfer when needed.Floaters will be responsible for running all travelers and labels for their shift.Assist Line Inspectors for special instruction i.e. packaging, special labels.Monitoring schedule for special instructions, i.e. packaging, special labels.Coordinating breaks and production floor operations with Group Leaders.Assist in the training for all new personnel.Facilitate mold personnel and assist in any duties that are required to keep the mold production.Keep all production supplied neatly stacked, i.e. pallets, liners, bags and tape in a designated area.Assist in general housekeeping responsibilities and empty the scrap barrels into the designated scrap bins.Floater personnel will be responsible for reviewing all daily production paperwork for completion compliance, if the paperwork is not completed, they are to return the paperwork to personnel responsible for documenting production tasks.Any other duties as assigned by supervisors.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Experienced Line InspectorAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
