Job summary

Amcor is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate in Valdosta, GA to maintain inventory areas, handle pallet jack and forklift operations, and keep production and warehouse spaces clean and organized. You will weigh and package materials, label and return items, assist mold techs with resin and color changes, and ensure accurate paperwork.

The role requires strong math skills, accuracy, and adherence to Amcor's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Operate pallet jack and sit-down forklift; certification pursued as part of role.
  • Maintain accurate, legible paperwork and proper labeling.
  • Perform inventory counts and control material flow to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the 28-hour inventory area daily.
  • Keep production floor and warehouse areas clean and organized.
  • Weigh and package materials and label items for return to warehouse.
  • Assist mold technicians with resin/color changes and color delivery to machines.
  • Take finished product to wrapper line if palletizer is not working.
  • Ensure machines have necessary handles, grips, gaskets, and IML labels.

Job DescriptionMaintain the 28-hour inventory area dailyMaintain good house keeping on the production floor.Maintain good housekeeping in the Warehouse staging area and return area.Ability to operator manual pallet jack, sit-down forklift and become certified on the motorized pallet jack and forklift.Maintain accurate and legible paperworkProperly label and return materials to the warehouse return areaWeigh and package materialsCount IML labels to be returnedMake trays for productionTake finished product to the wrapper line if the palletizer is not workingKeep all machines stocked with the correct handles, grips, wire, gaskets, IML labels, gaskets.Assist the mold techs with all aspects of the resin and color changesAssist the mold techs with color delivery to the machinesAbility to solve complex mathematical equations to maintain proper inventory levels.Communicate effectively to team members and members of managementStaff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilitiesStaff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; andStaff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.Our ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
