Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY seeks a Float Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care across inpatient units, using the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time role includes a rotating weekend schedule, a 6:30-7:00 shift window, and a $15,000 commitment bonus for two years of employment. Strong clinical skills and flexible; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn and use multiple clinical software systems.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• Cardiac rhythms test must be completed within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with scope and standards of practice across multiple inpatient units.
• Demonstrates flexibility to float and collaborate with interprofessional teams to support safe, high-quality care.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
