Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Day Shift to provide direct patient care and utilize the nursing process to achieve optimal outcomes. The role requires NYS RN licensure and a nursing degree, with BSN preferred and current BLS required; ACLS preferred.

The position involves 12-hour days on the Med-Surg unit, with every-other weekend and holidays. Telemetry and ventilator patient experience is advantageous, and strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Registration in New York State as an RN, Diploma and Licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS required. ACLS preferred.
• Med-Surg certification preferred.
• 1-2 years med-surg experience required.
• Experience with telemetry and/or ventilator patients preferred.
• Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Works collaboratively with all other disciplines on assigned unit.
• Days w/ eo wknd & hols; 7a-7:30p Salary Range: $61.454/hr - $70.338/hr (Commensurate with Experience)
