Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Day Shift on a 12-hour unit. The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes, working collaboratively with all disciplines on the assigned unit.

Requirements include NYS RN license, nursing diploma, BSN preferred, 1–2 years Med/Surg with telemetry/cardiac experience, and BLS (ACLS preferred).

Qualifications

• Current registration in New York State as an RN, Diploma and Licensure required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 - 2 years Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Experience with telemetry/cardiac patients preferred.
• Med/Surg certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Works collaboratively with all other disciplines on assigned unit.
