Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BCLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate growth and development knowledge.
• Ability to interpret information to identify patient requirements by age group.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintains communication and teaching for patients and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care on the unit.
• Collaborates with physicians regarding patient condition and care plan.
• Exhibits leadership in supervising LPNs, aides, and secretaries.
• Complies with policies and procedures to ensure quality care and hospital compliance.
• Maintains department competencies and promotes service excellence.
• Upholds mission, vision and values to promote patient satisfaction.
