Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Bluffton, OH, seeks an experienced RN to coordinate total nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and Nursing Manager. You will participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership to ensure quality nursing practice.

The role requires applying the nursing process, effective communication, and age-appropriate care, with collaboration with physicians to plan treatment and promote excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BCLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and assess patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Establishes and maintains communication and utilizes teaching opportunities to provide for learning needs of patients and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care on the unit.
• Collaborates with Physician regarding patient condition, orders, treatment plan, and needs for exceptional patient care.
• Exhibits leadership in supervising LPNs, aides, and clerical staff to ensure quality care and team collaboration.
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures, and practices for quality performance and compliance.
• Maintains department/unit competencies for patient care delivery.
• Displays Service Excellence by upholding the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
