Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay, OH seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate total nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or Clinical Manager. The nurse participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership in professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess and plan care, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring age-appropriate care while guiding LPNs and aides to deliver quality care and maintain unit

Qualifications

• Must hold current state RN licensure.
• BCLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Establishes and maintains communication, and utilizes teaching opportunities to provide for learning needs of patients and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care on the unit.
• Collaborates with Physician regarding patient condition, orders, and treatment plan.
• Provides leadership by coordinating LPNs, Nurse Aides, and Secretaries to ensure quality care and teamwork.
• Maintains compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
• Maintains department and unit competencies for patient care.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
