Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Relationship Banker to engage with customers face-to-face, provide financial counsel, assess banking needs, and educate clients on deposit and loan products. The role focuses on building relationships while driving digital adoption and service accuracy.

The candidate should have strong customer service skills, retail banking experience, and NMLS registration, with the ability to originate loans and open accounts at the branch.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4–5 years of job-related, retail banking experience for Relationship Banker 2, or a combination of experience and commensurate training.
  • 5+ years of job-related, retail banking experience for Senior Relationship Banker.
  • Relationship Banker 2: Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with clients effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of bank policies, procedures and support systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of retail products and services.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Experience using digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Ability to identify customers’ needs with a digital-first mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in making appropriate customer recommendations.
  • NMLS registration under SAFÉ Act terms.
  • Background and credit checks required.

  • Open consumer and business accounts and submit credit applications.
  • Educate clients on digital products and self-service options.
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy.

Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Relationship Banker 2: Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

  • Senior Relationship Banker: Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training

  • Relationship Banker 2: Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up

  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients

  • Thorough or advanced knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems

  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services

  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions

  • Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies

  • Ability to identify customers’ needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset

  • Advanced proficiency in making appropriate customer recommendations

  • NMLS registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z

  • Required criminal background and credit check

  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, procedures, Code of Ethics and workplace conduct and safety policies
