Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for its Internal Float Pool. You will float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding, caring for patients across high-acuity units and ICU as needed.

The role requires an accredited nursing program, an RN license, BLS, and 18+ months of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred). Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Minimum 18 months of Med Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Floating between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care in fast-paced environments.
• Adapt quickly to each unit’s workflow and support teams with professionalism and clinical excellence.
• Demonstrate strong communication, sound decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Support efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
