Job summary

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking an Internal Float RN to provide versatile nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units. The role supports patient care across multiple high-acuity areas within a single facility.

Key requirements include a nursing program completion, active RN license, BLS, and 18+ months of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience (2 years preferred). Self-scheduling and weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Minimum 18 months of Med Surg or Telemetry RN experience; 2 years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and ED Boarding units; may float to ICU to care for patients with transfer orders.
• Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care in fast-paced environments.
• Adapt quickly to each unit’s workflow and support teams with professionalism and clinical excellence.
• Demonstrate strong communication, sound decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Support efforts to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
