Job summary

Intermountain Health's St Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Resource Pool RNs to float across inpatient units, ensuring safe staffing and high-quality care. The role offers days, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage with a 10% float differential.

Start in Medical-Surgical and explore cross-training into specialty units while working with interdisciplinary teams in a mission-driven environment. Full-time and part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
• BSN is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, understanding, and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
