Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Nashville area seeks a Float Pool RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across departments. You will collaborate with the care team, follow established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities include Assessing care needs, administering meds, monitoring vitals, and educating patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. RN licensure in TN and BLS/ACLS within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in TN or compact state.
  • American Heart Association/BLS required.
  • ACLS, PEARS or PALS within 6 months of hire.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Float Pool RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:
  • Assess plans and evaluate the patients care needs and will carry out physician orders.
  • Administer prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families as part of part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required
  • American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS required
  • Previous clinical experience require
  • ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • PEARS or PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
