Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to join a float pool across Atrium Health Union, Union West, and Anson locations. You will engage in governance, apply evidence-based practices, and provide patient-centered care while maintaining documentation in the EHR system.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS certification, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience. You may be asked to float to other units to meet patient care needs within the service area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice where RN works.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and supports patient and staff safety.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and adhere to policies.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate assessment and care for patients across the lifespan.
