Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to deliver direct care across medical-surgical, telemetry and ED units. You will join a rotating team that adapts to census and acuity, advocating for patients and coordinating with physicians, nurses and support staff.

This role requires 3+ years RN staff experience, NY RN license, BLS and ACLS; travel weekly within BHN; sign-on bonuses exist; diverse clinical settings; strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree in nursing, required
• Other nursing diploma, required
• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• All RN's hired and do not currently hold a BSN will be expected to demonstrate enrollment in a bachelor’s prepared nursing program within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across multiple units (medical-surgical, telemetry, ED)
• Assess, plan, implement, document and evaluate patient care
• Advocate for patients and coordinate with healthcare team
• Float to various units as needed based on census and acuity
• Educate patients and families and support discharge planning
