Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool on a part-time Day shift. The RN will deliver coordinated care across units, administering medications, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based outcomes.

Float to multiple departments as needed, with a $5.00 hourly differential. Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, an active RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• RN license required in applicable state.
• BSN preferred; one year of acute care experience preferred.
• Must be able to float to multiple departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and evaluate individualized nursing care plans with team.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and policies.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to physicians.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff when assigned.
