Job summary
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Float Pool on a part-time, night shift basis. You will deliver coordinated nursing care across units, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with physicians and the care team.
The role requires an RN license in the applicable state, an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and BLS certification.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- BL S certification required.
- BSN is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Develops and evaluates individualized nursing care plans.
- Administers medications and treatments safely per orders.
- Monitors patient responses and communicates changes.
- Provides leadership and supervision to nursing staff.
- Educates patients and families on medications and care plans.
- Maintains accurate documentation in EMR.
- Floats to appropriate departments based on needs and scope.
